Beihai Tunnel

Situated on the Tieban coastline, Beihai Tunnel is an underground waterway constructed through sheer rock and comprising a criss-cross of interlinking corridors. Subterranean “quays” were built here starting in 1968 for naval vessels.

Beihai Tunnel is now open to the public. Aside from the tunnel itself, visitors will see a bronze soldier that commemorates those who died here defending the nation.
